travel ravels:
Completely disappointed that I’ve had to postpone (yet again) the travel plans I had brewing for the next two months to trade for spring + summer holiday, as I did want to catch my piece at that Istanbul art fair and wish Anya happy birthday in person, etc., but come March, full on Euro-blend artFaggotry!

Now to sit here, twiddling my thumbs, for the next six months in total anticipation. :p

p.s. SO want to catch Tim Burton’s exhibit’s opening reception party at MOMA next month. Ponder, ponder!

Berlin:
Met Pixie Pearl the day before my birthday… and hanging out with her was a nearly godly gift. Had such a great time with her.
She is such an awesome person :D

Speaking of birthdays, also had one of the best birthday breakfasts ever. Named the TIERGARTEN, neither Eon (NSFW), Pixie, Gypsy, nor myself could even finish such a godly meal, hahaha

London:
Anya has a thing for parks and bridges. This was Hyde Park and The Millenium Bridge.

Felix, he made me miss my flight back to Amsterdam. But it truly became one of the most AMAZING days ever. Had breakfast in my hotel suite, then took a cruise around the Thames river, before spending the whole night partying all over again… excellent times.
:)

Paris:
frEd seriously took me on the most DEPRESSING tours ever — first to the Catacombs, then to some cemetary, forcing me to be surrounded by dead people for a whole day, and with him droning in his frd-ness…. eeeeeee
But hey, I asked for it, so pretty thankful for that.

& Amsterdam:

Gypsy not only has cats, dogs, chickens, and ponies on her farm, but she also has… yes, lots of art… CULTIVATING ART.

Oh yes, Europe made for some really excellent memories. :)

I left London to go pick up my luggage in Paris (and also Anya), only to ride the train back to London again the very next morning. Trains are definitely the new black. Especially Eurostar ones.

Touched ground onto Amsterdam territory yesterday, where was greeted by a very chipper dressed Gypsy (no, not a gypsy, her name IS Gypsy). Promptly left for her house in the boonies, where she prepared a dinner of hamburgers (the best!) and crispy potahtoes. Not even shortly after, who should arrive but Hannis and Samantha. Joyous joyous JOY to see them again after FIVE YEARS.!

Anyhow, hanging out with them really brought out the memories from the yesteryears. 2001, two, 2003, all of them. Great hanging out with them (and meeting some ohhh glorious Britons) and having such awesome… just.. FUN.

(and this is where my main subconscious should butt in and ask WHAT THE FUCK I’M GOING ABOUT…)

1. Their main library here kicks all sorts of f’in ass. It’s so brilliant, it’s insane! We need one like this in L.A. Seriously.

P.S. I should make this my blog. But I forgot to set it up for email posts before I left. So I’ve just been posting via BlackBerry like the uber crackberry addict I am. Oh yes. Life is CrackBerry.

Addendum: Yes, this was originally a Facebook comment now reposted as a blog. Ha, yes, I’m so clever.

Best quote heard in Paris last nite, while walking down the street with Anya, apparently being thought of as whores by some drunkard: “Not you blonde girl, you’re too expensive!”

Also, have learned that I seem to be a magnet for “celebrity travelering”. When arriving at CDG last week, I lost my driver due to the huge herd of NBA stars frolicking through on some sort of France tour. And then, while arriving at Brussels-Midi today, there apparently was some hot Belgium popstar we civilized Americans have never heard of on the same train as mine. Screaming girls and cameras everywhere. Very interesting stuff, really. Very.

Also, noted: The gay Jewish Knights Templar neighborhood in Paris has the best gelato, Tupac is indeed still alive somewhere in Brussels, I’m REALLY addicted to my crackberry, fromage de chevare is my new anti-drug, and afternoon tea is awesome!

Next stop: Amsterdam (hey Sam, Gypsy, Hannis!), then London and Berlin. Woot!
